I would say, if you don’t take it (Section 180), it’s an absolute loss. You’re never going to get it again.

We were contacted by Soil Tax Guys shortly after purchasing our acreage property in Creston, CA, and they informed us about the benefits of soil testing under tax code 180. From start to finish, they were professional, thorough, and easy to work with. The process was clearly explained, and their team delivered a detailed, easy-to-understand report at the end. Thanks to their expertise, we were able to secure a tax deduction of over $175,000! We couldn't be more pleased with the results and highly recommend their services.

— Melissa. California, Vineyard.

You can thank J*** at S****** for referring us to you. If it wasn’t for him we would still be in the dark and not known about any of this

— Mark, South Dakota. Cattle

I am glad we did it. I guess one of the problems, good problems, that we had in our business is we’ve been productive and always have a tax liability every year. So, you know, this helps a lot.

— Mario, Oklahoma. Hog

I am pretty excited about it, to be honest with you. It was pretty seamless, awesome, and pretty hands off and easy [working with the Soil Tax Guys]. It seems like I need that too. It is something I don’t have to manage.

— Dan, Colorado. Crop

People don't even talk about it, I go to a lot of tax schools, obviously, for agriculture, and they don't even really talk about it there very much. I've been doing this with my clients for five, six years, seven years now.

— Russ, CPA

It not only boosted our reputation, it boosted our clients, reputation with their clients. It's just a trickle down effect of people able to generate profitability, you know, not just for us, but for our client, for their clients. Everybody made more money in the process because of it.

— Luke, Realtor

We strive to provide our clients with the best service possible. We do this by surrounding ourselves with experts like those at Soil Tax Guys. Soil Tax Guys has provided our clients with excellent analysis on their soil fertility. We have been pleased with their work and would recommend them to any farmland owner.

— Elizabeth, Realtor

You got documentation. It's with the purchase of land. Here's section 180. This is why we did it. Oh, okay. And then they can't really argue with it, because there's nothing really to argue about. It's not like I make up a number. If you got a guy like Alec to value it and give you the documentation to say, here's the value. Okay, what am I going to argue about?.

— Russ, CPA

Timing Matters.

IRS Section 180 must be claimed after closing, but before you apply fertilizer. Once you fertilize, the deduction is gone forever. That’s why smart land buyers check eligibility right after closing. And why you should too. Don’t leave six and seven figure deductions buried in the soil.
